New Mexico State University scientists already have established research collaborations with scientists at our partnering governmental laboratory, Sandia National Laboratories.  IGERT CMB trainees will have an opportunity to broaden their research experience through internships at Sandia.  These internships typically will take place during the summer months between the first and second or second and third years.  It is anticipated that some research interships will result in collaborative projects that will continue through the student's training period.
