IGERT CMB trainees also will have an opportunity to broaden their research experience through internships at the National Center for Genome Resources (NCGR), a private research foundation located in Santa Fe, NM.  These internships typically will take place during the summer months between the first and second or second and third years.  It is anticipated that some research interships will result in collaborative projects that will continue through the student's training period.
